Son Shine Global Partners (SGP) joins with Malku Institute of Technology in Uganda.

The occasion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Son Shine Global Partners (SGP) joins with Malku Institute of Technology in Uganda to provide training for 100 young farmers.

SGP seeks to deliver transformation through skills, science, technology and innovations to communities in Africa. In November 2019 the training of 100 young farmers in Mubende District, Uganda will begin. Taylor made courses will be offered to address the skills gap among the targeted group. The goal of the project is to improve the level of rural youth employment.

The 100 selected youths recruited by Malku Institute of Technology will be trained in practical skills for ago production, post-harvest handling, processing, enterprise development and marketing. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by Makerere University Africa Institute for Strategic Services and Development (AFRISA) and Malku Institute of Technology.

  • AFRISA trainers will deliver the science, technology, innovations and entrepreneurship training to participants through interactive lecturing models.

  • The training will be two weeks residential training followed by visits to each participant over the next twelve months.

  • Each successful participant will graduate with an Artisan Certificate of AFRISA –Makerere University. SGP urgently needs to raise the money for this project. The budget for this program is ​$65,000.
